INSULA FERICIRII
Încercăm cu toţii să supravieţuim
în secolul acesta a turbulenţei
creându-ne în imaginaţie
mici insule
unde evadăm atunci când
nu mai putem face faţa
uraganelor şi cutremurelor
care ne înconjoară.
Acolo,
pe insula noastră
jucăm şotron
chiar dacă nu ne mai ţin balamalele,
gângurim ca bebeluşii,
ne aşezăm pe tronul regelui
fără să ne fie frică de pedepse,
sărutăm şi ne iubim
cu toate vedetele intangibile
ale lumii moderne.
Acolo,
pe insula fericirii noastre
este veşnic primăvară.
Acolo
suntem mereu tineri
şi sănătoşi
şi veseli
şi… buni!
Câteodată,
când pe insula fericirii
ne simţim singuri,
invităm prieteni dragi
să ne însoţească
şi să împărtăşească
bucuriile noastre.
Şi astfel,
se produce o simbioză miraculoasă
care vindecă sufletul
de toate relele pãmântului
făcându-te să gândeşti curat
atunci când te reîntorci la realitate.
THE ISLE OF HAPPINESS
We all try to survive
this century of turbulence
creating in our imaginations
small islands
where we escape
when we cannot cope
with the hurricanes and earthquakes
which surround us.
There, on our island we play hopscotch
even if our hinges are rusty,
we coo like babies,
we sit ourselves on the king’s throne
without fear of punishment,
we kiss and we love
with all the intangible stars
of the modern world.
There,
on our imaginary island
it’s forever spring.
There,
We too are eternally young
and healthy
and joyful
and good!
Sometimes,
when on our imaginary island
we feel lonely,
we invite, of course,
dear friends
to join us
and to share in
our happiness.
And so,
a miraculous symbiosis is created
which heals the soul
of all the Earth’s badness…
making you think positively
when you return to reality !
DE UNDE ÎNCEPE LUMEA
Astăzi,
Lumea începe la tine
şi se termină la mine!
Democratic ar fi ca mâine
lumea să înceapă la mine
şi să se termine la tine.
Pentru tine,
lumea poate începe din America,
sau din Insula Pitcairn,
sau din Sikim, Nauru, Botswana,
sau chiar de pe Chomolugma…
Pentru mine,
lumea începe din România
şi se termină în Australia.
Punct!
Pentru unii,
lumea începe de la ei
şi se termină tot acolo!
Ei şi restul lumii!
Pentru alţii,
fără coloană vertebrală,
lumea începe de la 30 de arginţi
şi se temină la trădare.
Lumea,
poate să înceapă pe Pământ
şi să se termine
la capătul Universului.
Pentru mulţi dintre noi,
lumea începe din clipa
în care ne cuplăm
la Internet…
WHERE THE WORLD BEGINS
Today,
The world begins from you
and ends at me!
It would be democratic
that tomorrow
the world begin from me
and end at you.
For you,
the world can begin in America,
or on Pitcairn Island,
or in Sikkim, Nauru, Botswana
or even on Chomolugma…
For me,
the world begins in Romania
and ends in Australia.
Period!
For some,
the world begins at them
and also ends there.
THEM… and the rest of the world!
For others,
spineless,
the world begins at 30 silver coins
and ends at betrayal.
The world
can begin from Earth
and finish
at the end of the Universe.
For many of us,
the world begins from the moment
in which we connect
to the Internet…
EVADAREA
Mi-a ieşit în cale copilăria
dar a trecut pe lângă mine
de parcă nu aş fi avut-o niciodată.
Mulţi oameni m-au ocolit
fără să îmi dea bună ziua.
M-am refugiat la rude,
dar mi-au întors spatele.
Am cerut ajutor prietenilor,
dar s-au făcut că nu mă cunosc.
Am încercat să mă apropii de tine,
dar ai fugit,
lăsându-mă şi mai însingurat.
Când m-am întâlnit cu poezia
Aceasta mi-a deschis larg braţele
Şi m-a mângâiat pe creştet!
THE ESCAPE
I encountered my childhood
but it walked past me
as if I had never had it.
Many people avoided me
without even saying hello.
I sought refuge at relatives
but they turned their backs on me.
I sought the help of friends
but they pretended not to know me.
I tried to get closer to you
but you ran away,
leaving me alone.
When I encountered Poetry,
She opened her arms widely
And stroked my forehead!
LA MUZEU
În spatele panourilor
de sticlă
păsările
sorbeau soarele
precum un fluviu care
se revărsa în gâtlejurile lor
pătrunzând adânc în guşile
lor asemănătoare
cu curbura
amforelor vechi
din ceramica
zămislită de hiperboreni
şi păstrată pentru noi
în nisipul de aur
al unui fund de mare.
AT THE MUSEUM
Behind the glass panels
birds
absorbed the sun
like a river
overflowing from their throats
penetrating deep into their crop
resembling
the curves of
the old ceramic amphorae
created by the Hyperboreans
and preserved for us
in the golden sand
of a certain sea bed.
HOŢUL
În camera mea
nu a intrat
nici un hoţ!
Nu lipseşte nimic!
Dece mă simt
totuşi
furat de amintiri?
THE BURGLAR
In my room,
no burglar
has ever entered!
Nothing is missing!
Why on earth
do I still feel
stolen by the memories?
CĂPRIOARA NEBUNĂ
Culcat,
stau cu ochii închişi
şi visez la poiana mea cu flori.
E atâta linişte şi armonie!
Şi totuşi căprioara nebună
nu vrea să-mi dea pace
încercând din nou
să mă mângâie cu copita
pe albul ochilor mei obosiţi
de atâta privit spre spaţiul virtual.
THE CRAZY DEER
Lying,
I rest with my eyes closed
and dream of my flowered glade.
So much peace and harmony!
But yet… the crazy deer
doesn’t leave me alone
trying once again
to stroke me with her hoof
on the white of my eyes tired
from so much staring
at my computer screen.
